We got a phone call last Thursday evening for the vehicle recovery of a Toyota Hilux Pick-Up. The Hilux had broken down on the A590 at Backbarrow Cumbria.
The driver had seen smoke coming from the rear of the Hilux and quickly pulled over. He noticed oil was dripping onto the exhaust pipe, it appeared that the oil feed pipe on the back of the alternator had split. He managed to get the vehicle to lay-by 20 meters along the road at the Lakeland Motor Museum. He called M6 Recovery Services we arrived within 45 minutes loaded the vehicle onto the trailer and recovered him back to his home in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
